Course Description

This is an introduction to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) with focus on understanding the 7 principles and 12 stages of HACCP implementation. It aims to introduce the learner to the concepts and terminology used in HACCP and to help them to contribute to HACCP implementation at their facility.

Self-study options: We enjoy meeting new people and networking, but also know that the demands of work and life do not always permit this. That is why we offer the self-study option which consists out of a 3-part digital presentation to access in your own time. You will have access to a facilitator via email for the duration of your course if at any time you have a question. You will also receive the required learning material in digital format as well as access to an assessment for you to complete whenever you are ready. Your assessor will give you feedback and supply you with proof of training and a certificate of completion after you successfully completed the course.

Classroom option: We would love to meet you and have coffee with you. Our classroom option offers face-to-face interaction with the facilitator and learners at a venue most suitable for the class. The facilitator will present the 3-part course and there will be time for questions and answers after each section. Each learner will receive a hard copy of the learning material as well as an assessment that will be completed at the end of the day. The assessments will be evaluated in-class and feedback will be supplied immediately. Learners will receive proof of training and a certificate of completion after successfully completing the course. In-between there will be a light lunch and snacks served while we network with each other.

Prerequisites

The learner would require a working knowledge of basic good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) in the food industry.
